She was born on October 6, 1952 in Scranton, Pennsylvania to Robert Hahn Wilson and Dorothy Mae Henkels. She grew up in Lake Ariel, Pennsylvania before beginning her military service. Edith served her country in both the Army and the Navy and retired from the Civil Service in February 2013.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Robert Edwin Wilson; and uncle, Herbert Walter Henkels.
Edith is survived by her sister, Dorothy Mae Wilson Wooton and husband Boyd C. and uncle, Joseph Edwin Henkels.
