The Aldayas were first barely acquaintences of my girls and me, then friends, and even "adopted" family. I was with Edith when John passed away, through sicknesses; but also, we were close through the happy times. Missing our special neighbors, but the memories will last a lifetime.

The Comeau Family

January 14, 2011

Edith was a sweet lady and an inspiration to me and my daughter. She was so kind to include my daughter Marie when she taught Maggie how to crochet. Marie looked forward to the time she spent with Mrs. Aldaya, learning a skill her mother couldn't teach her. Edith was always so gentle and encouraging while instructing the girls. Marie is very thankful for the gift that Edith gave to her.

As a family, we have said many rosaries for the repose of Edith's soul. We will continue to remember her in our evening prayers. May your family always carry fond memories of Edith in your hearts and may Edith rest in the peace that only Christ can provide.

She was very kind. She taught me crochet with her great-grandaughter Maggie. I loved it! We had lessons every Tuesday. Because of her I was able to make some decorations for my baby sister's Baptism. She helped me a lot with my crochet. I just wish I could have known her longer. Thank you, Mrs. Aldaya!
