

He was the youngest of three brothers and had a younger half sister. He married Maryann Lovetere in 1965. Together they had two children, Laura and Edmund Jr. He served 12 years in the US Army. During this time he was the chef and manager of the Officers Club in Ft. Ord, CA. The highlight of his military career was spending 2 years in Italy where he had the opportunity to share his culture and heritage with his wife and children. After discharging from the Army, he moved to San Antonio in 1987 and became an Insurance Salesman for the Knights of Columbus. He retired from the Knights of Columbus in 2005 after 18 years.
Edmund had a passion for cooking and always had plenty of food to share with family, friends and neighbors. His creative style and passion always lead to a festive event. He loved animals. He always had 2 or 3 dogs by his side. He would mix in the occasional bird, fish, rabbit, or cat.they were all welcomed and loved in his home. Edmund was true to himself and lived a fulfilling life. His sense of humor always got him through the tough times.
The self proclaimed, "Mr. Wonderful", is survived by his daughter, Laura and her husband Phillip Ogburn, his son, Edmund Jr and his wife Michelle. He has two grandchildren, Juliana and Giovanni Locastro.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Friday, May 16, 2014 at Porter Loring Mortuary North.
