Edna Meoni

Edna Meoni, of San Antonio, Texas, died July 15, 2017, in hospice care. Born in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Florence Panek Ankewich. She graduated Scranton public schools. Edna enjoyed a long career at AT&T/Southwestern Bell as a telephone operator, retiring after over 30 years of service. She was a lifelong member of the Polish National Catholic Church.

She is survived by her sister-in-law Arlene Ankewich; niece Teresa Blanco and spouse Dr. Jorge Blanco; nephew Carl Mark Ankewich and spouse Linda Ankewich; and other nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her parents; brothers Edward Ankewich and Carl E. Ankewich and sister Florence Telepcek as well as nephew Carl Telepcek.

A viewing will be held on Wednesday, July 19,2017 from 5:00-7:00 pm at Sunset Memorial Park, 1701 Austin Highway, San Antonio TX. Interment will follow in St. Stanislaus Polish National Catholic Cemetery, Kane Street, in Scranton PA.
