Edward Eddie Tamez Chagoy

Edward Tamez Chagoy was born on August 8, 1951 to Arturo Davila, Retired SSgt. of the United States Air Force and Juanita Tamez Davila in San Antonio, Texas. He graduated from Lanier High School in 1970. He worked for the Army Air Force Exchange Service for 36 years. He worked in San Antonio and then moved to Dallas to work at headquarters until his retirement in July, 2009. He went to be with our Father in heaven on June 17, 2010 with his wife and family at his side. He was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend. He loved his family, loved life, and lived it to the fullest everyday. He will be missed by all who loved him and those who knew him in passing. He is preceded in death by his grandmother, Felicitas Lugo Tamez, mother, Juanita Tamez Davila, and mother-in-law Elvira Sanchez. He is survived by his wife Hilda S. Chagoy, father, Arturo Davila-Retired SSgt. USAF, son, Edward Anthony Chagoy and wife Laura, son, Vincent Perez, daughter, Priscilla Nash and husband Craig Nash, God-daughter, Joni-Dawn Rodriguez, sisters, Juanita Davila Guerra and husband George Jackson Irvin, Cindy Lopez and husband Gilbert, and Candy Flores and husband Samuel, brothers, Arturo Davila, Jr., and Randy Davila and wife Veronica, brother-in-laws, Mario Sanchez and wife Isabell, David Sanchez and wife Judy, sister-in-laws, Janie Perez and husband Ernest Perez, Dolores Gonzales, Maria Estrada and husband Antonio Estrada, Grandchildren, Cameron Cortez, Caleb Luke Edward Chagoy, Jasmine Zavala and husband Paul Perez, Valerie Zavala, Marc Zavala, Jessica Vetter, Craig “CJ” Nash, and Elijah Nash, great grandchildren, Jayvin Ray Perez, Joshua Ryan Perez, and Jonathan Michael Perez. He had numerous nieces and nephews who will miss him dearly, especially his nephews Gilbert Lopez Jr., Rudy Lopez, Matthew Anthony Lopez, and Marc Edward Lopez, who had a very special place in his heart. Visitation will be from 6-9:00 pm on Tuesday, June 22, 2010 with a prayer service to be held at 7:00 pm at Sunset Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday, June 23, 2010 at Community Bible Church, 2477 N. Loop 1604 East, SATX 78232.
