He was formerly employed by Weberg Furniture as an Area Manager and recently retired. Ed was active with Thousand Oaks Bowling Leagues and also enjoyed golf and traveling. He was very well liked by many people and he never met a stranger.
His father, Alex Gildein, preceded him in death.
He is survived by his wife, Janice Gildein; daughter, Rosanne Gildein-Fisher and husband, John; grandchildren, Tyler and Tobie Fisher; mother, Jane Gildein; brother, Joseph Gildein and wife, Connie; sister, Terri Zylo and husband, Walt; numerous nieces and nephews.
