Edward Vincent Gillette, also known as Eddie, lived and resided in San Antonio, Texas. He was born on May 15, 2003 to Edward and Tish Gillette, the second of two children 3 1/2 years junior to his sister Raquel. He attended Tuscany Heights elementary, Bush middle school, Reagan and Antonian high schools. Eddie loved animals and had a number of pets. His favorite was an English bulldog named Winston. He especially loved and played with Winston and shared many memories and moments with his dog.
Eddie enjoyed life, and a few of his hobbies included snowboarding and snowmobiling in the backcountry of Montana and Wyoming with his dad.
His passions and career aspirations were boxing and film. He was an amateur boxer training to enter the professional ranks when the Covid pandemic struck. He then switched his career ambitions to film and immersed himself in all elements of the film industry as an actor, producer, lighting specialist, makeup artist, and camera assistant.
Eddie was a truly special young man. He had an innate ability to make all who came into contact with him feel special and comfortable in his presence. He loved with all his heart, and he was never known to hold grudges. Sincerity was his constant companion. To paraphrase a famous quote by Nelson Henderson, life is meant to plant trees, the shade of which you will never enjoy. Eddie planted a tree nourished with love and laughter. For this, his family and friends will be eternally and forever grateful.
Eddie is preceded in passing by his grandparents Alma and Arthur Guerra (Mama and Papa), Vincent Anthony Gillette (Grandpa) and Aunt Catherine Gillette. Eddie is survived by his parents, Tish Guerra Gillette and Edward Anthony Gillette; sister Raquel (Rocky) Gillette, Grandmother Marjorie Gillette. Cousins: Arthur, James, and Niki Guerra, Morgan Gillette, Calvin & Nathan Walls, and numerous others. Uncles and Aunts: Arthur and Rose Guerra, Orlando (KonKon) and Marisa Guerra, Sharon and Buddy Walls, Tom & Connie Gillette, and Vince Gillette Family. In addition; the Flores family, Witten family, Garcia Family, Ortega family and Krissy Mireles family.
A Rosary will take place on Monday September 14, 2026, at 9:30 A.M. at St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church, followed by a funeral mass at 10 A.M.
A committal service will be held following Mass at Mission Park Funeral Chapel and Dominion Cemetery.
