Edward “Johnny” Klonek, age 85, went to be with the Lord on Friday, March 18, 2016 in San Antonio, TX. He was born on October 12, 1930 in San Antonio, TX to Frank & Soledad Klonek, Sr. He was a proud U.S. Army Veteran serving in the Korean War. Mr. Klonek was also a member of the Christian Family Church. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend who will be dearly missed.
Mr. Klonek was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Frankie Klonek; daughter, Sherry Copeland & husband Vic; 2 grandchildren, Jonathan Sadler and Zachary Turner; 4 sisters, Theresa Garcia, Carmen Kulik, Virginia Beaty and Christine Arrington; brother, Joe Oscar Klonek; numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be 5-8 p.m., Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at Sunset Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be 9 a.m., Wednesday, March 30, 2916 at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel.
Interment will follow at the Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery with Army Military Honors.
