Edward H. Merrick, Jr., age 78, passed away on Wednesday, December 8, 2010. Ed was born in San Antonio and earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Trinity University. He was a drama teacher at Garner Middle School in the NEISD and later taught English at West Point. Ed proudly served in the Army Reserves. He was a long-time, devout member of Sunset Ridge Church of Christ. Ed is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Carolyn Merrick and son, Ty Edward Merrick. He is survived by his daughter-in-law, Karla Merrick and grandchildren, Cole Merrick and Victoria Baker. Ed was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather and will be greatly missed by his family, friends and wonderful neighbors.
