

Edward A. Padilla, age 82, affectionately known as POP, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Sunday, August 10, 2008. He is preceded in death by his parents, Vicente and Romana Padilla.
He was a proud veteran who served in the US Army during World War II. After 40 years of dedication, Edward retired from the US Postal Service.
He was a devout parishioner of Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Edward volunteered many hours at Holy Cross High School and Holy Rosary Catholic Church and School during which time he became very involved in the CYO Program as a coach.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years, Tina Padilla; sons: Robert and wife, Rose; William and wife, Doreen; Gerald and wife, Tanya; Vincent and wife, Leti and Efraim and wife, Dorinda; daughter, Elsa; grandchildren: Tiffany, Vanessa, Krystyna, Angelica, Maricela and Edward; one great-grandchild, Zoe; numerous nieces and nephews; brothers: Santiago, Juan, Rogelio, Carlos and David; sisters: Maria Kaminski, Teresa Reyes, Hortence Bostic, Josie Johnson, Rose Padilla, Gloria Padilla and Margie Felan.
Edward was a kind and loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather ~ we will miss him deeply.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 12th from 5:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. at Porter Loring on McCullough.
