Edward A. Powers, Captain U.S. Army Ret, age 85 of San Antonio, was born March 23, 1923 in Toledo, Ohio and died on Wednesday, August 6, 2008.
He was a devoted family man and public servant with over four decades of military and civilian service.
Edward was preceded in death by his parents, George and Bessie Powers; brother, George Robert Powers; and sister, Nancy McKenzie.
Survivors: wife, Dolores Powers; daughter, Karen Wan; son, George Powers and wife, Mary Ellen; grandchildren, Camille Powers, Paulette Powers, Luke Powers, Alexander Wan and Nicholas Wan; brother, Galen Powers and wife, Betty; sister-in-law, Audrey Powers.
