He was born January 21, 1933, in Longview, to Fridolf and Leola Swenson.
Edward, an alumnus of Texas Tech University, was a member of the PKA Fraternity. He spent 30 years as a newspaper editor, was a member of the Circus Historical Society, Circus Fans of America and was also a Texas-American historian. He also enjoyed traveling and photography. Edward's family was the most important part of his life as he was a loving husband, father and grandfather.
He was preceded in death by his parents. Edward is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Dianne Swenson; sons, Mark E. Swenson and wife, Terry and Michael E. Swenson and wife, Ernestine; grandsons, Clay B. and Drew C. Swenson; sister, Sandra Swenson.
