

He was born in Floresville, Texas to parents, Baldemar G. and Angela (Zuniga) Abrahan.
Edward proudly served his country, retiring as a SFC in the US Army Reserve after 23 years. He retired after 36 years of service with the San Antonio Fire Department.
Edward was a member of the St. Vincent de Paul Society for 25 years and was a Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus at St. Helena's Catholic Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a grandson, Brian Zuniga.
Edward is survived by his wife of 63 years, Dolores A. Zuniga; daughters, Patricia S. Menard and husband, E.J.; daughter Kathleen Z. May; son, Edward A. Zuniga, and wife, Laura; son, Dr. Stephen C. Zuniga and Calabash son, Ralph N. Thomas; daughter, Dolores E. Blore and husband, Timothy; son, Michael A. Zuniga; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild; sister, Maria A. Angelini; sister-in-law, Hope Gamboa and husband, Hector; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and aunts.
The family would like to thank Dr. Watts and Mrs. Julie Teel of SAMMC and the staff. Also, the staff that cared for Edward at Life Care Hospital, Mesa Vista Nursing Home and Paragon Healthcare.
They would also like to thank the Knights of Columbus and the San Antonio Fire Department for acting as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Monday, April, 14, 2014 at Porter Loring Mortuary North.
