Edward G. Fernandez age 92, loving father of four, and devoted husband of 70 years to Mary G. Fernandez went to be with our Lord June 20, 2025. Edward was born in 1933 in Eagle Pass, Texas and was raised in San Antonio, Texas along with three brothers, and three sisters. After joining the Department of the Air Force in 1953 he then married Mary G. Fernandez his one and only true love in 1954. For 70 years Edward remained a dedicated father and husband. The love towards his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren was without bounds. He was a man of integrity, kindness, and generosity. His strength was driven by the love for his wife, and together they led a life dedicated to the Lord. Edward will be greatly missed by his daughter Diane Fernandez-Brown, Edward G. Fernandez, Jr., John Anthony Fernandez, and Armando Daniel Fernandez. Edward will be deeply missed by friends and family.

A Visitation for Edwardo will be held on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Trevino Funeral Home, located at 226 Cupples Road, San Antonio, TX 78237. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 PM.
On the following day, Thursday, July 10, 2025, the family of Edwardo kindly invites all family and friends to gather for a Graveside Service at 2:00 PM at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, located at 1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd, San Antonio, TX 78209. Please arrive at least 15 minutes early so the service may begin promptly.
