

Air Force MSgt.Ret Robert Edwin Lewis, born April 21, 1946 in Springfield, Ohio to Edwin Lewis and Margaret Wier, passed away October 12, 2007 while a patient at the University of Texas Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas.
Bob is survived by his wife of 29 years, Evangeline Jill Sande; sons Seann Angie Lewis of Cleveland, Ohio, Clarke Lewis of San Antonio; daughters Durahnda Storm Randall of San Antonio, and Bernadette Lewis of New York City; sister Patricia Fulgham of Glendale, Arizona; grandson Robbie Randall; granddaughter Lillie Mae Lewis; mother-in-law; and numerous brothers/sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and numerous personal and professional friends and colleagues.
At the time of his death, Bob had completed more than 19 years as a senior network engineer for Sprint-Nextel after 20 years of active duty in the U.S. Air Force. As a 'founding member' of the Santo Niño parish, he was active in the Knights of Columbus and all parish related spiritual, social and business activities and was particularly active in the A.C.T.S. community.
At the time of his death, the Gawad Kalinga Project helping the poorest of the poor was his mission and passion. Bob will be long-remembered for his infectious positive perspective on life, his sense of humor and most of all, the way he conducted himself as a Christian by honoring his God, our country, his parents, and the way he loved, cherished and adored his wife, children, extended family and fellowman. All who knew him will surely agree that his greeting in Heaven must surely have been: Well done, thou good and faithful servant. Rest in peace, Bobby.
