

He was born on August 9, 1939 in San Antonio, Texas, to parents, Emil A. and Clarissa Elmendorf.
Buzzy retired from City Public Service as a crane operator after 35 years of service. He was an extremely talented man who knew many trades. He was proficient as a mechanic, a carpenter, and an electrician to name a few.
He was an avid car enthusiast. His passion was building "hot rod" cars. He enjoyed all aspects of working on a car, from refinishing the interior to rebuilding the engine. Most of all, Buzzy enjoyed using his gifts to help his loved ones, both family and friends. Buzzy loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter. He was a loving husband, a great father and grandfather.
He was preceded in death by, his parents, Emil A. and Clarissa Elmendorf; 2 sisters, Mary Robbins, and Helen Hawkins.
Buzzy is survived by his wife of 48 years, Pat; 2 sons, Aaron Elmendorf and wife Becky, Blaine Elmendorf and wife Yvette; 3 grandchildren, Kaeleigh, Drew, and Evan; 2 brother-in-laws, C.J. Robbins, Roy Rackler and wife Debbie; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m., Friday, August 20, 2010, at St. Mark The Evangelist Catholic Church.
