Efrain Romo Tamez

March 21, 1950- April 23, 2021

Efrain Romo Tamez age 71, of San Antonio, died on Friday, April 23, 2021. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arturo Gamez Tamez and Velia Romo Tamez; brothers, Arturo Tamez and Hector Tamez. Survivors, wife of 49 years, Sandra Franco Tamez; son, Eugene Franco Tamez; daughter, Dana Tamez Marquez (Jose); granddaughters, Lily Anne Marquez, and Ruth Maria Marquez; siblings, Humberto Tamez, Mary Alice Swift, and Gracie Reyna; brothers-in-law, Edmund Franco and Ruben Diaz; sister-in-law, Helen Herrera; and numerous nieces and nephews. Efrain loved playing music, gardening, and making life-long memories with family and friends. He dedicated more than 40 years to public service with the Social Security Administration and cherished his retirement years by travelling around the world with his beloved wife Sandy. He was a caring and generous husband, father, grandfather, and friend who imparted laughter and love to all who were blessed to know him. Visitation will be on Tuesday, May 4, 2021 from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Porter Loring on McCullough.
