Eileen Gehlert May, born October 12, 1918 in San Antonio, died Friday, August 3, 2001. A graduate of Brackenridge High School, she received her teaching certificate from Our Lady of the Lake University. Mrs. May was a member of Christ Lutheran Church and was always involved in many community activities. She is loved and survived by her devoted husband of 59 years, Lt. Col. John B. May; daughters, Kathleen Munson and Susan Tickner; sons-in-law, Gary Munson and Tom Tickner; and her grandchildren, Melissa and Michael Munson and Stephen and Mark Tickner. Her infectious laugh and giving spirit will be missed by all who knew her
