Eileen B. Thompson

In 1953, she graduated from Saint Patrick's High School in Eau Claire. After graduation, she moved to Chicago, Illinois, where she met Allan Thompson, her husband of fifty-five years. As an Air Force spouse, she travelled the world and lived in Japan twice, Germany, Maryland, Texas, and Greece.

During those years, she worked for the Department of the Air Force as a Civil Servant and retired with over 20 years of service.

Eileen was preceded in death by her husband, CMSgt Allan H. Thompson, USAF Ret in 2010, and brother, Mike Barney in 2008. Eileen is survived by her son, William A. Thompson and wife, Dianne; daughter, Catherine T. Lovelady; four granddaughters: Linda Thompson and husband Alan Bishop, Elizabeth Thompson, Patricia Thompson, and Katherine Lovelady; and six brothers and sisters: Patrick Barney and wife Judy, Kathleen Schumacher and husband Ronald, Mary Barney, Edward Barney and wife Donna, Paul Barney, Janet Dean and husband Denny.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Sunday, August 21, 2011, at Porter Loring Mortuary North.
