Elaine S. Davis

She was born December 3, 1933.

Elaine was a graduate of Incarnate Word High School and attended Stephen's College in Columbia, Missouri. She loved playing duplicate bridge, and could often be found on the weekends either playing in Bridge Tournaments, entertaining or during the summer months, deep sea tournament fishing in Texas and Mexico. Elaine and her husband, Willson Davis, Jr. traveled extensively, and they both had a love for exotic and unique destinations. She had a passion for five-gated saddlebred horses and loved competing in her earlier years.

Elaine will be missed by her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Saul and Ethel Scharlack; her daughter, Melanie Miller; her sister, Ruth Jean Gurwitz and nephew, Andrew Gurwitz.

Elaine is survived by her daughter, Joelle Miller of Houston; her nephew, Jonathan Gurwitz and his wife Rachel Gurwitz and their children Allie and Jordan Gurwitz of San Antonio; as well as numerous cousins and friends.

Per her request the burial will be private.
