Born on September 3, 1946, Elbridge grew up in the heart of San Antonio, where he developed a deep love for the outdoors and a strong sense of service. After graduating high school, he proudly served his country in the United States Navy for four years, a time that shaped his character and left him with countless stories he loved to share.
After his military service, Elbridge returned home and found a lasting career with VIA Metropolitan Transit, where he worked in scheduling. He took pride in his work, and his dedication helped keep San Antonio moving for many years.
Beyond his career, Elbridge found true joy in life’s simple pleasures. He was an avid fisherman, happiest when he had a line in the water and the sun on his back. His love for animals was evident in the way he cared for his four beloved dogs, who were never far from his side.
Above all, Elbridge was a devoted husband. He married the love of his life, Yvonne, and together they built a life full of laughter, love, and mutual respect.
Elbridge will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him
