Elena M. Andrade entered into eternal rest on June 19, 2025, at the age of 80. Born on December 26, 1944, in San Antonio, Texas, to Felipe and Cristina Martinez, Elena lived a life rooted in love, family, and faith.
A proud graduate of Fox Tech High School, Class of 1963, Elena went on to serve her country as a dedicated civil servant at Kelly Air Force Base, where she worked for 33 years before retiring at the age of 50. Retirement did not slow her down—it only gave her more time to do what she loved most: care for her family, decorate her home, treasure antiques, and share her vibrant spirit on the dance floor.
Elena was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose greatest joy was spending time with her loved ones. She cherished every moment with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, always offering them wisdom, laughter, and unconditional love.
A woman of deep Catholic faith, Elena was a devoted parishioner at San Juan De Los Lagos Catholic Church. Her belief in God was the foundation of her life and a source of strength to all who knew her.
She is preceded in death by her beloved parents, Felipe and Cristina Martinez; her sisters, Bertha (and husband Robert Perez) and Esther (and husband Rene Canales).
Elena’s beautiful memory will forever be cherished by her loving husband of 59 years, Paul M. Andrade Sr.; her sons, Paul M. Andrade Jr. (Cindy), Allen Andrade (Sandie), Eloy Andrade (Dulce), and Philip Andrade (Diana Martinez); her sisters, Elia Ortiz (Rudy) and Mary Alice Fiero (Ralph); her treasured grandchildren, Desirae Zuniga, Ashley Andrade, Marissa Cruz, Austin Andrade, Hayley Martinez, Paul Allen Andrade, Eloy Antonio Andrade, Sebastian Andrade, and Jean Carlos Andrade; and her great-grandchildren, Christopher Brian Zuniga Jr., Paul Anthony Andrade, Ainias Ramirez, and Brooklyn Martinez.
She also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family who will continue to honor her legacy through the love she instilled in each of them.
Elena’s grace, generosity, and unwavering devotion will be remembered always. Her light will shine on in the hearts of all who knew her.
