

Elenora “Nora” T. Wertheim passed away peacefully at home on August 23, 2016. She was born in San Antonio, TX on August 25, 1915 to parents Ignatius Sebera and Bertha Hensel. Nora travelled extensively throughout her life, volunteered for the Easter Seals, and was an avid bowler and bridge player. During WWII she worked at the Military Arsenal. Nora is preceded in death by her loving husband of 61 years, Otto A. Wertheim.
She is survived by her sister, Florene Hull; children Gay L. Matthews and Joyce W. Moore (Carroll C. Cobb); grandchildren Stephen B. Matthews, Collin H. Fillingim, Connor A. Fillingim, Jennifer Lamey (James Lamey), Ty Cobb, and Travis Cobb; great-grandchildren Stacia Lamey and Kyle Lamey, and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. The family of Elenora Wertheim would like to specially thank Janie Shooltz, Chaplain Leo Lopez, Patricia Hernandez and all the staff of Harbour Hospice.
The Funeral Service for Nora Wertheim will take place at Sunset Funeral Home on Saturday, August 27, 2016 at 10:00am with entombment to follow at Sunset Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Harbor Foundation, 3406 College St., Beaumont TX 77701 or to a charity of your choice.
