

It is with deepest sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved, precious matriarch and mother, Elias Flores Bolanos, who departed this life peacefully on March 29, 2025, at 9:01 PM, at the age of 90.
Elias was born on June 26, 1934, in Cameron, Tamaulipas, Mexico. A devoted mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother, she lived a life rooted in love, resilience, and unwavering faith. Above all, she lived for her children—her family was the center of her world, and her strength and kindness shaped generations.
She is survived by her loving sisters, Maria Rios (wife of Marcelino Rios) and Maria Luisa Domingues (wife of Roman Dominguez); her sons, Robert Bolanos and Arturo Bolanos; and her daughters, Beatrice Colunga and Linda Gomez. She also leaves behind her daughters-in-law, Martha Bolanos and Liliana Bolanos, and her sons-in-law, Any Gomez, Gregorio Colunga, and Gustavo Angel Garcia.
Elias was the proud grandmother of Robert Bolanos Jr., Bianca Garcia, Vanessa Bolanos, Alexandro Gomez, Valerie Jessica Bolanos, Maria Angelica Bolanos, Abram Gomez, Santiago Bolanos, Briana Colunga, and Adan Gomez.
She was also blessed with great-grandchildren: Mia Avery Garcia and Felix Javier Garcia, who brought her immense joy.
Elias will be remembered for her boundless love, her nurturing spirit, and the deep values she instilled in her family. Her legacy lives on in the lives she touched and the love she gave so freely. She will be dearly missed and forever cherished.
A visitation for Elia will be held Monday, May 12, 2025 from 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home, followed by a prayer service at 7:00 PM. A chapel service will be held on Tuesday, May 13, 2025 at 10:00, with reception from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM, all held at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home. We will soon depart from the funeral home to arrive at Chapel Hill Memorial Park, 7735 Gibbs Sprawl Rd, San Antonio, TX 78239, at 2:00 PM.
