

In 1945 he was drafted and served in the United States Army Air Corp where he attained the rank of Sergeant. After returning from Europe, he decided to resume his education and entered Texas A & I University in Kingsville, Texas.
He earned a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration in 1950. After graduation, he moved to San Antonio, Texas and married Filomena Venzor in 1958. Elias raised his family of four and retired from Kelly AFB after 37 years in Civil Service.
He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Filomena and sons, Edward and Michael; daughters-in-law, Debra and Laura Villanueva and granddaughters, Christina, Marissa, Ileana, Leandra; sister, Criscelia Hinojosa and family in San Antonio and Kenedy, Texas.
Visitation will be on Monday, November 23, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Porter Loring on McCullough Ave.
Mass will take place Tuesday, November 24, 2015 at 9:30 a.m. at St. Luke's Catholic Church, 4603 Manitou Dr.
Interment will follow at San Fernando Cemetery II.
