Elida was a woman of warmth, kindness, and unwavering devotion to her family. She found joy in life’s simple pleasures — cooking and baking delicious meals that brought everyone together, tending to her beautiful garden, and spending peaceful moments watching birds in their natural splendor. Her love for nature and her nurturing spirit touched all who knew her.
Elida is preceded in death by her parents, Alfredo and Rafaela Alvarado; her brothers, Alfredo Alvarado Jr. and Ricardo Alvarado; and her sister, Guadalupe Cruz.
She leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories with her beloved husband, Juan G. Cura; her children, Juan G. Cura, Jim Cura, Janet Cortez (Richard), and David Cura (Carmen); ten grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren who brought her endless pride and joy. Elida is also survived by her siblings, Margie Martinez, Rudy Alvarado, Albert Alvarado, Jesse Alvarado, Ester Ortegon, and Irene Cura.
Elida’s warmth, wisdom, and gentle presence will be deeply missed, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. Her family finds comfort in the countless memories they shared and the love she so freely gave.
May she rest in peace, surrounded by the beauty she so dearly loved.
