Elida was an active member of Acts community with St. Leo's Catholic Church in San Antonio and Sacred Heart Church in Floresville from 1990 to 2004.
She took great pride in her family and worked as a dietician at Nix Hospital for 25 years.
Elida leaves us with a strong faith in Our God and the importance of family unity and love.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Joe G. Garcia, Jr.; parents, Tomas and Manuela Davila; brother, Antonio Davila and sister, Elisa Martinez.
Elida is survived by her daughters, Yolanda Garcia of San Antonio, TX, Martha Figueroa of Floresville, TX; son, Joe Garcia and wife, Michele of San Antonio, TX; sisters, Ernestina Alvarado, Lupe Gamboa and husband, John, Mary Ann Trevino; brother, Tom Davila and wife, Annie; grandchildren, Michael, Aislinn, Albert, Felicia, Amity, Joseph, Rebecca, and Kenneth; great-grandchildren, Jacquelyne, Jocelyne, Monique, Amanda, Vanessa, and Isabel.
