Elida Soza

Elida Soza, age 82, passed away on February 21, 2023. She was born on September 15, 1940 to Esteban and Maria Montoya. Elida was a housewife. She enjoyed sewing, baking, cooking and crossword puzzles with her family. She also loved to attend her grandkids events. She will always be remembered for her devotion to family, constant presence and abundant love. Elida was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and aunt.

Elida is preceded in death by her loving husband Israel Soza Sr., sister Celia Soza.

She is survived by her daughter Diana (Patricio) Santos, son Israel (Elva) Soza Jr., grandchildren, Sarah Hernandez, Israel Soza III, Clarissa Grace Soza, Laney Yselle Soza, great-grandchildren, Zenida Batts, Kevin Batts, Samaya Batts, Mia Batts, sister Margarita Moreno, as well as numerous extended relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Monday, February 27, 2023 at Funeraria Del Angel Trevino Funeral Home, 2525 Palto Alto Road, San Antonio, Tx 78211 with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 12:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 28, 2023 at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church, 1918 Palo Alto Road, San Antonio, Tx 78211. Interment will follow at Mission Park South, San Antonio, Tx.

Having the distinguished honor to serve as pallbearers are Israel Soza Jr., Israel Soza III, Timothy Oritz and Aaron Hernandez.
