She was born in Albany, NY on August 13, 1917 to Irving Van Wie and Nell Quinn Van Wie.
Elizabeth was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Crowley, Sr.; son, David Crowley and grandson, Joe Crowley, III.
She is survived by her sons, Joe Crowley and his wife Barbara, and Paul Crowley; daughter-in-law, Maria Crowley, four grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 24, 2015 from 6:00 pm. to 8:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Porter Loring Mortuary on McCullough Ave.
A Mass will be held on Thursday, June 25, 2015 at 9:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 623 E. Commerce. Interment will follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, family request memorials be made to St. Francis Nursing Home, 630 W. Woodlawn, San Antonio, TX 78212.
