Elizabeth Betty Myers Lynch

She was born in South Bend, Indiana, the daughter of Bernard Randolph Myers and Winifred A. Clark Myers. Bernard Myers, her father, was from Richmond, Virginia, as was his entire family. Winifred C. Myers was from Missouri. Betty attended St. Mary's College in South Bend. She played tennis and won various state, college and semi-pro tournaments.

She married Lt. Commander Patrick J. Lynch, Jr. who predeceased her in 2000. They are now together again.

She is survived by her two children, Marcia Holman Lynch and Patrick J. Lynch III; two grandchildren, P.J. Lynch IV and Lauren Lynch Sanchez and a great-grandson, Isaac Sanchez.

Betty belonged to the Junior League in which she held several offices, the Woman's Club of Churchill Estates where she was a former president, the National Society of Colonial Dames and the St. Vincent de Paul Society at St. Matthew's Catholic Church where she was one of the original founders.
