Elizabeth Dean Wheeler

Elizabeth (Liz) Dean McGregor Wheeler age 68, of San Antonio, Texas, formerly of Leighton, AL, passed away at her home on Tuesday, August 27, 2013. She was born May 15, 1945 to Odie(Jack) and Elizabeth McGregor in Leighton, AL. Liz was a beautician for over 20 years and she enjoyed being outdoors. She was preceded in death by her parents, Odie(Jack) McGregor and Elizabeth Pace McGregor; sisters, Dorothy Jean McGregor Steele and Vena Mae McGregor Morgan. She is survived by her husband, Lamar Wheeler; daughter, Karen Newell Britner (David); sons, Kevin Wesley Newell (Norma) and Justin Paul Rachel; grandchildren, Michael, Miranda, Annie and Dylan; great grandchildren, Kyla and Nellie; sisters, Agnes McGregor Thornton (Thurlo), Annette McGregor Quinn (Hershel), Betty Kimbrough ; brothers, Stancil McGregor (Betty) and Ernest McGregor. Liz will be missed by her loving family and friends. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 29, 2013 at Porter Loring Mortuary North.
