Elizabeth Braswell Hipp Wiechmann was the nicest person you would have known. She left this world the same way she came into it, too soon. She joined Jesus and her Grandmother Polly, Sunday September 01, 2002 at the tender age of 44. She was a passionate friend, mentor, wife and mother. She made a difference in everyone's life she touched having served numerous years as a counselor at MDA camps with her good friend Janina. Elizabeth grew up with San Pedro Presbyterian Church serving in various capacities such as choir member and Sunday school teacher. She continued her service to our community as a special education teacher and elementary school counselor for several years with NEISD, Alamo Heights, and Tuloso-Midway, then as a collegiate academic advisor with SWTSU and the Univ. of the Incarnate Word. She was a graduate of Churchill HS and achieved a BA and MA in Educational Psychology from UTSA. The family greatly appreciates the support received from all her friends and colleagues during her recent heroic battle, especially the staff and physicians at So. Tx Oncology, the Brain Tumor Ctr at Duke, plus Fortress and Hospice HomeCare services. Survivors: loving daughter and husband, Alexandra and David; world's best parents, Logan and Louise Hipp, Jr.; fantastic brother, Ruffin Hipp; numerous loving in-laws. Lord, now comes for your eternal companionship Elizabeth Wiechmann, a true and compassionate daughter, who loved and was loved by all who knew her.
