Ella Charlotte Daigle

Ella Charlotte Daigle passed away peacefully on May 25, 2015 in Houston, Texas where she and Odon resided since 2011. Her mother, Elfrieda Bergmann (1988) and her husband, Odon Joseph Daigle (2013), preceded her in death. Ella is survived by her children Ralph (Susan) Daigle and Deborah Daigle, grandchildren Catherine Daigle and Maureen (Alan) Greig and great granddaughter, Avery Elizabeth. Ella was born September 30, 1924 in Berlin, Germany. She married Odon, a soldier in the army, in 1949 in Germany. They were transferred immediately to San Antonio, Texas, where they were married for 64 ½ years! While she was a radiology technician in Germany, her first job in America was at HEB grocery store in 1950. She never lost her love of grocery stores. Her last, and favorite job, was at Robert E. Lee High school (across the street from her home) as the Assistant Manager of the cafeteria for 14 years. Ella loved people, good food, animals, German music, chocolate and good fun. She will be missed. Visitation will be at 9 am, Friday, May 29, 2015 at Sunset Funeral Home followed by a 10am Graveside at Sunset Memorial Park.
