Ella was a member of St. Marks Episcopal Church.
In 1985, she retired after 25 years from Federal Civil Service at Kelly Air Force Base.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Almer Lavoy Person; and her granddaughter, Kimberley Lynn Laurie.
She is survived by her daughter, Sandra Lea Laurie and husband, Robert of San Antonio, TX; grandchildren, Doctor Scot Laurie and wife, Doctor Louba Laurie; and Todd L. Laurie; sister, Johnnie Marie Waber; several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of floers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
