

Eloise Alvear Garcia, age 81, passed away Monday, May 22, 2023, in Warner Robins, Georgia. Eloise was born June 19, 1941, in Kenedy, Texas to parents Celso and Eloisa Alvear. She was the third of eighteen children. Eloise married her husband, Romeo Garcia, on December 26, 1960 and was married for fifty-four years until his death in 2015.
Her greatest love was family and she will always be remembered for the many gatherings she hosted. She was known for her great hugs and for always blessing you before you left her. An adventurer at heart, she loved road trips with her family and for stopping at every historical marker along the way.
A devoted Catholic, she was a greeter, eucharistic minister and a member of the Catholic Daughters at St. Matthew’s Catholic Church for many years.
Her beautiful sassy spirit and infectious laugh will be missed by all who knew her.
Eloise is preceded in death by her husband Romeo Garcia; parents Celso and Eloisa Alvear; sisters Maria Trinidad (Trini) Collins, Maria Luisa Garza, Maria Elena and Diana Alvear; brothers Lorenzo, Celso, Miguel, Jorge, Alberto, and David Alvear.
She is survived by her daughters Debra Garcia and Patricia Burress; son-in-law William (Bill) Burress; grand-daughters Kristen and Katie Burress; sisters Mary-Ann Salazar, Elvira and Randy Horne, Alicia Palacios, Lydia and Santiago Cruz, and Susana (Susie) Alvear; brothers Soilo and Frances Alvear and Luis Alvear and many nieces and nephews.
