Eloise Mathis Kusenberger joined her beloved husband Felix in eternity on Friday, July 30, 2010, at the age of 101 years.
She was born in Jefferson, Georgia, the second daughter of Richard Lee and Ilda Sarah Mathis, and was the last of the Mathis sisters, Mary, Myrtle and Netta.
Mrs. Kusenberger retired from Southern Music Company, Sheet Music Dept. She and her husband moved to Canyon Lake in 1965 and returned to San Antonio to live at Morningside Meadows and nursing home, then to Chandler Health Care.
Survivors are nephews and nieces J. David Bell, Pamela Hatzenbuehler, Marlene Crane, Beverly and Don Knight; and many great-nieces and great-nephews.
Our thanks and appreciation to Dr. Moszkowicz, all the health care staff, Lloyd Renke and VITAS staff for their care and compassion during her long illness.
Memorial contributions to the VITAS End of Life Care Foundation would be appreciated.
