Elsa Nava, age 51, of San Antonio, went home to our Lord on Sunday, September 23, 2012 after a 9 year health battle as a result of a flu shot that left her paralyzed. The Lord came, reached out his hand to her and said, "It's time to go home." She is now walking and dancing in her heavenly home with our Lord and His angels. Elsa loved to cook and spend time with family and friends. She was known as the party coordinator. She was a positive, happy outgoing life force. Elsa loved animals and they became part of the family. A traveler who never met a stranger, the world was her home. Elsa was preceded in death by her brother, Humberto Nava; and her father, Jose Nava. She is survived by her lifetime partner of 21 years, Mary West; mother, Dolores Nava; brothers, Carlos Nava, and Rosendo Nava; niece, Dorian Nava; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins; brother-in-law, Jerry West, Sr. and wife, Ida; sisters-in-law, Cheryl Sandoval, Cynthia West-Vargas and husband, Ron, and Tina West-Yanez and husband, Mario; and best friends, KC Arroyo and Paul Oliver.
