Elsie M. Dever

Elsie Mae Dever went to live with the Lord on March 5, 2012. Elsie was born on July 30, 1921 near Fairfield Tx. She moved to San Antonio at age 18 to work at the State Hospital, where she worked until she retired. Elsie was a devoted wife to her husband of 69 years and a loving mother to her son. She was a happy, loving lady who brought happiness to all who knew her. Dancing at the Farmers Daughter was one of Elsie and her husband Douglas’s greatest pleasures. Every Friday of her married life Elsie enjoyed going to the beauty shop with her friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband Douglas O. Dever and her son Douglas Joe Dever; Mother, Lula Mae Lott; Father, William Oscar Lott; Brother, William H. Lott.

She leaves behind friends, Irmgard McLain & family, Bill & Susie Curry & family, Nita Dever & family, William Winn, John Jones, Betty Northam, Nancy Williams, Gladys and Charles Legnon and many more friends too numerous to mention.

Visitation will be 6-8:00pm on Thursday, March 8, 2012 at Sunset Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm on Friday, March 9, 2012 at the Sunset Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
