

She was born on August 21, 1914 in Pandora, near Floresville in Wilson County, Texas. She was predeceased by her parents, Jose and Josefa Cortez Trujillo and her husband, Humberto Ramirez, her husband of 57 years.
She is survived by her two sons, Anthony Tony Ramirez and his wife Susan, Rodolfo Rudy Ramirez and his wife Nora; Grandsons Roland and Richard Ramirez; and her sister, Petra Gutierrez and numerous nieces and nephews.
Elvira was a very social person, belonging to many social clubs. She was active in the King William Association and participated in the King William neighborhood Fiesta week parade as honored chartered member.
She was active for more than 20 years with the San Antonio Conservation Society and Night in Old San Antonio. Elvira was a member of the Guadalupanas at the San Fernando Cathedral.
She and her husband loved to entertain in their home and holidays meant lots of company. Elvira opened her home for all kind of meetings for her church groups and for Club Nuevo Leon of San Antonio.
She loved to travel and after her husband retired they visited Europe, the Holy Land, South America and the Summer Olympics in Mexico City.
The family wishes to thank staff members at St Francis Nursing Home, especially the second floor staff members for their love and care for five years. Also, the family wishes to thank Harbour Hospice for their services.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 12th from 4:30 P.M. to 6:30 P.M. at Porter Loring on McCullough.
