Emeldo Lopez Palacios

Emeldo cherished nothing more than spending time with his family. Whether it was gathered around the table for a shared meal, playing games on his phone with a grin, or working his way through a tough crossword puzzle, he found joy in the simple pleasures of life. His love for movies was a constant throughout the years, and many happy memories were made in darkened theaters, surrounded by those he loved. He had a special bond with his grandchildren, who brought light and laughter into his life. Their presence filled his heart with pride and gave him a sense of purpose that was clear to everyone around him. Emeldo's legacy is one of quiet strength, thoughtful presence, and unconditional love. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

Emeldo is preceded in death by his wife, Colleen Palacios, daughter, Jaime Palacios, parents, Esteban Palacios and Tomasita Lopez Palacios, brother, Richard Palacios, and sister, Mary Alice Rios.

He leaves behind his children, Patrick Palacios (Victoria), Elizabeth Palacios Borja(Vincent), John Jude Palacios, 3 grandchildren, siblings, Rebecca (Randel)Ramos, Robert Palacios (Shelly), sister in law, Hortensia Palacios, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A visitation for Emeldo will be held Tuesday, August 12, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM at Trevino Funeral Home, 2525 Palo Alto Rd, San Antonio, TX 78211 with a rosary being recited at 7:00 PM. Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, August 13, 2025 at 11:00 AM at St James Apostle Catholic Church, 907 W Theo Ave, San Antonio, TX 78225 with military honors to follow at 1:15 PM at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, 1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd, San Antonio, TX 78209.
