Emilia R Almendarez

Emilia R. Almendarez, 92, the beloved matriarch of the Almendarez family passed away on October 24, 2025. Born on April 5, 1933 in Floresville Texas. Emilia’s greatest joy and achievement was her large, close-knit family.

Mother of eight children and grandmother of thirteen grandchildren, Emilia was the heart of the Almendarez family. Her kitchen was the gathering place for Sunday luncheons, holiday celebrations, and impromptu family meetings. Emilia had a knack for remembering every birthday, anniversary in her children and grandchildren's lives, never failing to send a card or make a call. A true catholic in attending St. Bonaventure and Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, she was a proud member of the Guadalupana Society.

She enjoyed going to the Presa Community Center to visit and chat with her senior friends.

Emilia is survived by her eight children Elma, Danny, Ralph, Lucie, Mary Alice, Eddie, Sam, Alex, spouses and grandchildren .

Funeral services will be held at Funeraria Del Angel Trevino Funeral Home, Mass at Immaculate Conception and burial will be at San Fernando Cemetery # 2.

Our beloved beautiful mother will now join our father Catarino Almendarez in heaven. Always on our minds and forever in our hearts. ❤️
