

MSgt. Emilio T. "E.T." Gonzales, USAF (Ret), age 79, of San Antonio, died Tuesday, January 17, 2012.
MSgt Gonzales began his military career and honorably served the United States from 1950 until 1992 retiring with the rank of MSgt from the U.S. Air Force. He worked at Kelly AFB with the civil service for 25 years; worked for Bexar County Sheriff Department, and worked as an Investigator for US Department of Immigration.
As driven as Emilio was, he often held up to 3 jobs at the same time in order to support his family. He was a Master Mason with Masonic Lodge, Nat M. Washer No. 1270, for 38 years.
Emilio loved cooking using different recipes, Bar-B-Que's, and his hand made BBQ Sauce. He loved his LP Record Collection, Jazz, Tejano, Military Standards and Contemporary Music. He was in the Golden Gloves Boxing tournaments when he was younger. He had multiple war awards while in the military as a Drill Sergeant. He loved being a prankster and playing jokes on his grandchildren.
Emilio was the greatest husband, father, and grandfather that any family could possibly have.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Antonio and Juanita Gonzales; brothers, Antonio Gonzales, Jr.; nephews, Jesse Hernandez and Eddie Gonzales.
Survivors; wife, Angelica A. Gonzales; children, Guadalupe Henderson and Perry, Diane Gonzalez and Salvador, Julia Estrada, Sandra Gonzales, Jeanette Morales and Richard, and Javier Alvarez; grandchildren, Christopher Wilson, Manuel Wilson, Ramsey Henderson, Derek Gonzales, Vanessa Marin, Jose Emilio Estrada, Robert Estrada, Amanda Espino, Fausto Torres, II, Michael Duque, Celeste Morales, and Victoria Morales; great grandchildren, Jacob Wilson, Jeremiah Wilson, Joshua Wilson, Jocelyn Wilson, Alyssa R. Marin, Steve Marin, Jr., Robert Anthony Estrada, Joseph Isaiah Estrada, Destiny Jaylyn Estrada and Jessica Vina; brothers and sisters, Rudy Gonzales and Bea, Viola Gonzales, Candelario Gonzales and Mary Jane Hernandez.
A visitation will be held on Monday, January 30, 2011, from 10:00am until 9:00pm at Porter Loring Mortuary.
