Emily Eva Ponebshek, born December 26, 1923, entered into eternal rest on September 5, 2012, joining her beloved parents Joseph and Anna, sisters Julie and Antoinette, brothers Joe and Frank, and husband of 60 years, Carl Martin Ponebshek. She had a life filled with love for her family and church, and was ready to give up her earthly body. She is survived by her children, Joann De Luna, David De Luna, Annalisa Peace, Philip Ponebshek, Jaya Ponebshek, and grandchildren, David Carl De Luna, Alexander Ponebshek, and Natalia Ponebshek, who will miss her deeply, cherish her memory, and hope that she and dad can look down together and be proud of their kids and grandkids. Visitation will take place at Sunset Funeral Home, 1701 Austin Highway, 78218 on Wednesday, September 12, 2012 from 5-9pm with a rosary at 7pm. A Funeral Mass will take place at 10am on Thursday, September 13, 2012 at St. Peter Prince of the Apostle Catholic Church, 111 Barilla, 78209 with Interment at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery at 11:30 am.
