Emma Garza Aldrete, age 86, passed away peacefully on September 11, 2022, at her Residential Home in San Antonio, Texas. Emma was born, raised, Graduated from Edinburg High School, and attended night College while working at a pharmacy during the day in Edinburg, Texas. Emma became a resident of San Antonio, Texas when she relocated here in January of 2017; her favorite places to visit were The Alamo, and Brackenridge Park where she truly enjoyed feeding the ducks while walking her white Chihauha. Emma was preceeded in her passing to the Lord Jesus Christ by her husband of many years, MGySgt. Enrique “Henry” Aldrete also of Edinburg, Texas where they began their journey in life as High School Sweethearts before their adventure together at a very young age in the United States Marine Corps.Emma was the most loving daughter, sister, cousin, mom, grandma, greatgrandma, neighbor, and friend. Her highest devotion was to our Almighty Lord God, Creator of Heaven and Earth, and His Son, Jesus Christ, and continuously pursued her walk with Him in humility, gentleness, patience, and deep love.
Emma comes from a beautiful family of nine sisters and brothers who continually showed their love and devotion to her until her passing. Some have passed on to the Lord and are watching over us and some are here on God’s great earth as they stay tightly knit in God’s love together keeping our family strong with incouragement: Tina Gonzales (Joe), Elvira “Betty” Douglas (Joe), Tommy Garza, and David Garza.
Emma is survived by her daughters; Rita M. Aldrete, Enna I. Aldrete, and Elna M. De Los Santos; 10 granddaughters, Ruth, Robynne, Roxanne, Rianne, Christine, Melissa, Amy, Rebecca, Bethany, and Sarah; never forgetting each of the great grand children whom she loved, and adored. Emma prayed fervently for each of her family members and their families to seek the Lord with all of their heart and to go to Him for direction. NKJV Jeremiah 29:13
