She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Ewell Mason. Survivors include her daughter Ellen Naranjo and her husband Abel of Corpus Christi; son James E. Mason and his wife Paula of San Antonio; grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren along with numerous nieces and nephews.
She was an intricate part of a large family of brothers and sisters growing up. Emmerence retired from Civil Service. Always the epitome of an elegant lady she loved to paint, play bridge, travel, and cook. She taught many of us how to play dominoes. We were convinced she made up new rules with every game we played.
