

She was born on May 12, 1937, in Sabinal, Texas, to her beloved mother, Cristina Martinez.
Enedelia lived a life centered on faith, family, and love. She was a devoted wife to Ricardo Hernandez, with whom she shared 58 wonderful years of marriage before his passing in 2018. Together they built a loving home and raised a family that remained the pride and joy of her life.
She found great happiness in tending to her plants, spending time outdoors, and enjoying the beauty of nature. Above all, Enedelia treasured the moments she shared with her grandchildren, creating memories filled with love, laughter, and warmth. Her family was the center of her world, and she took great pride in watching future generations grow and flourish.
Enedelia is survived by her children: Jose Hernandez; Hilda Valdez; and Erika Guillory. Her legacy continues through her seven grandchildren; Joseph Delgado, Antonio Valdez, Opal Valdez (Shawn Avina), Erik Guillory, Marley Guillory, Brandi Delgado, Maya Guillory; and one great grandchild Olivia Avina and many other cherished family members and friends.
Enedelia is also survived by her brother, Ismael Martinez (Mayo), and shared a special lifelong friendship with Belia Hernandez, whose companionship brought her much joy throughout the years.
She is reunited in heaven with her beloved husband, Ricardo Hernandez; her daughter, Roxanna Hernandez and her son, Ricardo Hernandez Jr.; her mother, Cristina Martinez; and her sister, Maria Avila.
Enedelia will be remembered for her unwavering love for her family, her gentle heart, and the warmth she brought to everyone who knew her. Her presence was a source of comfort, wisdom, and strength, and her memory will forever remain in the hearts of those she touched.
Though she has departed from this earthly life, the love, lessons, and memories she leaves behind will continue to guide and inspire her family for generations to come.
Visitation will be held at Funeraria Del Angel Trevino Funeral Home, 226 Cupples Road, San Antonio, TX 78237, on June 16, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. A Prayer Service will be held that evening at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Family and friends are welcome to gather at the funeral home on June 17, 2026, beginning at 8:30 a.m. We will dismiss at 10:00 a.m. for a Mass of the Resurrection, which will be celebrated at St. Jude Catholic Church, 130 S. San Augustine Ave., San Antonio, TX 78237, at 10:30 a.m.
Committal will follow at San Fernando Cemetery II, 746 Castroville Road, San Antonio, TX 78237.
Please note: There will be no formal funeral procession. Family and friends are kindly asked to meet at the church and cemetery on their own.
