In April 2025. It had been years since we’ve seen each other. We kept in contact but to actually see each other was the most memorable time. We had such a deep heart to heart. Since our accidental friendship started in 2009/2010, you were my best friend and my soulmate. You were literally the male version of me. You understood me and never made me feel judged. You were a listening ear and never afraid to ask clarifying questions. You saved my life. I would not be here if it wasn’t for you. It’s been 3 treatments since your passing. Today, I felt you with me in the Dr’s office. I felt you guide me. I felt your presence as I entered another realm. I’m not going to misuse this blessing. You pushed so hard. You showed me your demons. We shared laughs and memories. You were my 30yr old pact. I am struggling to navigate this time without you. No one could out 50’ me like you. My heart aches. I take comfort in knowing you’re at peace now. I love you Ricky. Forever and a day.

I have a video of this day. Ricky was my bestie. Even when Luis left the picture, he’d ask where I was when he got to my house and I wasn’t there. This picture is from one of the many trips he took with me because he was visiting. The man loved selfies. He also loved food. This was outside of the Starbucks by UCF. I was going to class and he’d tag along.

Ricky, always a family member. A brother to my brother and over time, I became his sister. By default. He was always at my house! Here is my brother with Ricky and his wonderful parents. What a celebration!

All three freshly graduated and shipping off in about a week to serve our country.

The camera was always out. And they were in their natural habitat.

Remember when we used to print pictures? That’s what these are. Printed pictures I found in a folder that I had planned to send Ricky after writing him while he was in boot camp. I thought about it then thought it wasn’t a good idea in case he got cooked. He wouldn’t be a le to live these down.

You were always a funny guy to be around and always invested your time in others. In 2010, we graduated HS together excited to leave that small town. I went into the Army and you went into the Marines. I remember you saying how hard boot camp was and how much you wanted to quit but you kept going and became a Marine! We will never forget our fun times together and all the funny memories we got to make. We miss and love you Ricky!  - Luis

From elementary school all the way to our high school graduation you were making our classes laugh with your ridiculous antics. You always invited yourself to our plans and it was never a dull time. It’s so hard to pick a favorite memory, between High School Grad Bash or my graduation party when you came with Luis and crashed on the couch with Nanny’s tiny dog, Tabitha. Now you can be reunited with your girlfriend, Tabitha. 😂  You’ll be forever missed and a great part of our funnest memories.  - Brianna

Enrique was more than a colleague—he was our little brother. The brother who teased you with love, who filled the room with jokes and smiles that could brighten even the darkest day. Dear friend, you left an impact on each of us—especially on me. In your own quiet, strong way, you cared for us and shielded us from the weight of difficult situations. You were not just a coworker; you were family.
Enrique, you will be missed in every inch of that office and in every part of my life. Rest in peace, dear friend. We will honor your courage to advocate for others, your kindness, and your unwavering spirit. Thank you for serving this country—you are, and always will be, a true HERO.

Enrique was an amazing colleague and great friend. Every day he would come to my cubicle and talk about himself and make fun of my appearance in a nice way. I will miss those moments and miss seeing his beautiful smile and tight shirts. Enrique, you are loved and will be missed every day.

He will always be in our hearts and minds! Missed but never forgotten!! Godspeed brother <3
