Erasmo Mendiola, Jr.

Erasmo Mendiola Jr. went to be with our Lord on August 19, 2019, he was 60 years old. He was born and raised in San Antonio, TX. Erasmo Jr. enjoyed watching boxing, since he had been a boxer, and Western movies like his father Erasmo Sr. He was also a mentor to many as he shared his passion for boxing inspiring others, including his brother Orlando and his son Mark. He was extremely protective of his siblings and watched over his younger brother, Orlando, as they grew up. Erasmo Jr. loved animals and also enjoyed spending time with his dogs, Teddy and Lady. He was extremely fortunate for the love and care that his mother, Carolina Mendiola and his sister/caregiver, Rose Marie Gill provided daily. He also enjoyed the meals that his sister Sylvia Lind provided weekly. Erasmo Jr. enjoyed visiting his siblings and always had a smile and hug for his family. Erasmo Jr. will be deeply missed by his family and they will always treasure the memories that he has left in their hearts. Erasmo Jr. was preceded in death by his father, Erasmo Mendiola Sr. He was survived by his son, Mark Anthony Mendiola-Gonzalez and his daughter, Rosalinda Mendiola, as well as his mother, Carolina Mendiola, his grandchildren, John Anthony Gonzalez, Ceasar Arredondo, and Patricia Arredondo and his siblings, Rose Marie Gill, Mario Mendiola, Sylvia Lind, Belinda Valdez, Orlando Mendiola and Lisa Luna as well as many nephews and nieces.

Visitation will be on Sunday, August 25, 2019 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Porter Loring on McCullough.
