Eric was born in San Antonio to Darlene (Dee) and John (Jack) Crawford on January 10, 1977. He went to school in San Antonio. Eric enlisted in the Army Reserves at age 17 in 1994 and was awarded numerous awards and commendations, including an Army commendation medal and an Iraq campaign medal with campaign star and awarded a Purple Heart for valor during Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2003.
Eric is preceded in death by his beloved mom, Dee, and his brother, Richard (Rick) King.
He is survived by his son Alexander, daughter Emily, father Jack, ex-wife Amanda, and brothers Shawn Crawford, Mike King, and Stephen King.
Visitation will be Friday, October 30, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Sunset Funeral Home, 1701 Austin Hwy, San Antonio, TX 78218.
Funeral services will be held at 12:30 p.m., with a military burial to follow at Fort Sam Cemetery at 2:00 p.m.
Memorials may be given to the Wounded Warriors Project and the Purple Heart Association.
