Eric Rudolfo Gutierrez

Eric was the beloved son of Shirlynn and the late Rudy Gutierrez, little brother to Vanessa and Nick, and uncle to Kaylin and Maddox.

If you knew Eric, you knew he had a personality that was hard to forget. He was funny, personable, and had a gift for making people laugh. He could walk into a room and somehow make himself at home.

He was the kind of person whose absence will be noticed in the quiet moments, but whose memory will show up in the laughter when someone tells one of his stories.

Eric was taken from this world much too early. There should have been so many more birthdays, laughs, family gatherings still ahead of him. While we wish we had been given more time, we are grateful for the time we did have.

Eric is preceded in death by his father, Rudy Gutierrez; his grandparents Helen and Oscar VanderPoorten and Heidi and Rudolfo Gutierrez.

He is survived by his mother, Shirlynn Gutierrez; his sister, Vanessa Witzell; his brother, Nick Gutierrez; his niece, Kaylin; his nephew, Maddox; his uncles, Charles VanderPoorten and Harvey Gutierrez; along with extended family and friends who loved him dearly.
